Our Sales Process

Pre Sale Process
Precision Starts Before the First Bolt

7 Steps to a Successful Project

At MetalPress Machinery, we believe great machines are built long before steel hits the shop floor. Every machine we manufacture begins with a clear process—built around you. From the first conversation to technical validation and final proposal, our pre-sale process ensures your investment is right the first time.

Step One:

Understanding Your Application

Every project starts with the right questions.

We start with a discovery conversation—no assumptions, no hard sell.
Our team dives into your production goals, part specs, material requirements, and cycle times. Whether you're replacing an old press or scaling up with automation, we aim to fully understand your operation before offering any solution.

🔍 Common questions we ask:

  • What’s being formed, trimmed, or die-casted?

  • What are your force, stroke, and daylight requirements?

  • Any floor space or height restrictions?

  • Existing automation or integration needs?

Step Two:

Engineering Input & System Design

Turning specs into real-world solutions.

Our application engineers get to work with the information you've provided.
We model your process into a technical proposal—matching your needs with the correct press tonnage, bed size, control package, and optional automation.

For complex builds, we’ll provide:

  • 3D layouts or concept drawings

  • Cycle time simulations

  • Energy consumption estimates

  • Safety and guarding recommendations

Everything is tailored—no cookie-cutter machines here.

Step Three:

Detailed Proposal

Transparent, thorough, and built around your needs.

You’ll receive a clear and comprehensive quote, which includes:

  • System specs and scope

  • Lead time

  • Price breakdown

  • Warranty details

  • Optional add-ons (tooling, installation, training, service packages)

We also include clear next steps and outline any custom engineering timelines required.

Step Four:

Validation & Approval

No surprises—just confirmed specs and aligned expectations.

Before any contract is signed, we go through a technical validation stage to ensure everything aligns.
You’ll work directly with our engineering and sales team to confirm details—and we’ll revise as needed to ensure full alignment with your operation.

If you need to present this internally, we’ll even help create presentation-ready documents for your stakeholders or plant team.

Step Five:

Final Agreement

Locked in. Ready to build. Backed by experts.

Once everything’s dialed in, we lock in the project with a purchase order or contract.
From here, we shift to the build stage and begin your journey toward a custom, production-ready press solution.

Step Six:

Building & Testing

Crafted, calibrated, and proven before it leaves our floor.

Once the purchase order is released, our production team machines, welds, and assembles frame, and control panel. Throughout the build we run quality checks—dimensional inspections, weld-integrity tests, hydraulic leak tests, and PLC/HMI I/O verification.

Before shipping, each machine undergoes a full Factory Acceptance Test (FAT):

  • Load-cell force calibration and repeatability checks
  • Cycle-time benchmarking against your spec
  • Safety-circuit validation (light curtains, interlocks, e-stops)
  • Video documentation and detailed FAT report for your records
  • Video or factory in-person buyer inspection under power.

Only when the press meets every criterion do we sign off and prep for transport.

Step Seven:

Ship & Commission

Delivered, installed, and turning parts—fast.

Our logistics team coordinates packaging, rigging, and just-in-time delivery to fit your schedule. Our on site, factory-trained technicians:

  1. Position & Level – Supervise unloading, alignment, securing to the floor, and connect utilities.
  2. Start-Up & Test – Re-verify force, stroke, and safety systems under load.
  3. Operator Training – Hands-on operator instruction plus digital manuals and quick-start videos.

You receive a commissioning dossier—test results, and preventive-maintenance checklist—so your team is production-ready from day one.

Why Our Sale Process Matters

Engineered Accuracy. Operational Confidence. Long-Term Value.

  • Reduces costly redesigns or oversights later

  • Ensures exact fit to your operation

  • Gives your team full confidence in the investment

At MetalPress Machinery, we don’t sell machines—we deliver engineered solutions. Let’s build yours right from the start.
