TITAN SERIES SHOWCASE
Precision Press Brake Engineering
The Titan Series MPT-SV servo hydraulic CNC press brake is engineered for demanding sheet metal bending and fabrication. Its precision-machined frame, servo hydraulic drive system, advanced CNC controls, automatic crowning, and integrated safety systems work together to deliver accurate, repeatable bending with faster setup times and reliable production performance.
TECHNICAL OVERVIEW OF CNC PRESS BRAKES
A servo hydraulic CNC press brake combines hydraulic bending force with servo-controlled motion for accurate, repeatable sheet metal forming. The Titan Series MPT-SV uses servo drive technology to provide precise ram positioning, smooth operation, and consistent bending results while reducing unnecessary energy consumption. Combined with CNC programming, precision back gauge positioning, and automatic crowning, the system is designed for faster setup, improved productivity, and reliable performance in demanding fabrication environments. This makes servo hydraulic press brakes well suited for manufacturers that require accuracy, repeatability, and efficient production across a wide range of parts.
Both machines use hydraulic force to bend sheet metal, but a servo hydraulic press brake uses servo-controlled drive technology to manage ram movement more precisely. On the Titan Series, the servo hydraulic system provides accurate positioning, smoother motion, and improved repeatability while helping reduce energy consumption compared with hydraulic systems that operate continuously. The machine also integrates CNC control, proportional valves, real-time ram monitoring, and precision positioning systems. For production environments, these features can contribute to more consistent bending, faster setup, reduced operating costs, and greater control over complex fabrication work.
A CNC press brake automates and controls key bending functions to improve accuracy, productivity, and repeatability. The Titan Series combines servo hydraulic technology, a Delem DA-66C CNC controller, CNC-controlled mechanical crowning, precision back gauge fingers, quick tool clamping, a linear grating scale, and an integrated laser safety system. The rigid precision-machined frame helps maintain long-term structural stability, while advanced controls simplify programming and setup. Together, these systems help fabricators achieve consistent bend angles, reduce setup time, improve operator efficiency, and produce accurate sheet metal components across both short-run and production applications.
CNC crowning compensates for the natural deflection that can occur in the press brake ram and bed during bending. Without compensation, longer workpieces can experience variations in bend angle from the center of the part to the ends. The Titan Series uses a CNC-controlled automatic mechanical crowning system that adjusts for this deflection during operation. This helps maintain more consistent bend angles across the full bending length, improves dimensional accuracy, and reduces the need for manual correction or repeated setup adjustments. Crowning is especially important when forming longer sheet metal parts where even small deflection can affect finished-part quality.
Selecting the correct CNC press brake starts with the material type, material thickness, maximum bending length, tooling, and the geometry of the parts being produced. Required tonnage increases as material thickness, material strength, and bending length increase. The machine must also provide enough bed length and working clearance for the largest parts being formed. The Titan Series is available in 16 configurations ranging from 75 to 350 tons, with bending lengths from approximately 8 to 13 feet. Providing your material, thickness, bend length, and part drawings allows the correct press brake capacity and configuration to be recommended.

HEAVY-DUTY PRECISION FRAME

A conventional hydraulic press brake uses hydraulic power to move and control the ram, while a servo hydraulic press brake adds servo-controlled drive technology for more precise motion and energy management. The Titan Series uses servo technology to improve ram positioning, repeatability, and operating efficiency while maintaining the forming force of a hydraulic system.
A manual or conventional press brake requires more operator adjustment and manual setup, while a CNC press brake controls multiple machine functions through programmable controls. CNC systems can manage bend sequences, back gauge positioning, ram movement, crowning, and other parameters, helping improve accuracy, repeatability, and setup efficiency for both simple and complex parts.
Important press brake safety features can include laser point-of-operation protection, emergency stops, guarded areas, safe control systems, and properly configured tooling and operating procedures. The Titan Series includes an integrated laser safety system designed to monitor the bending zone in real time while allowing efficient machine operation.
Safe press brake operation begins with trained operators, correct tooling, proper machine setup, and following the manufacturer's operating and safety procedures. Operators should verify the programmed bend sequence, keep hands and body parts clear of the bending zone, confirm safety devices are functioning correctly, and inspect tooling and workpieces before operation. Appropriate guarding and personal protective equipment should also be used according to the application and facility requirements.
The most important information includes the material type, maximum material thickness, maximum bending length, part geometry, and required production volume. Part drawings are especially useful because they allow the machine supplier to evaluate tonnage requirements, tooling, bend sequence, throat depth, opening height, and any special options that may be required.
If you are unsure of the exact tonnage, send the material, thickness, bend length, and drawings you have and the correct press brake configuration can be determined.
Press brake capacity should be selected based on the strongest and thickest material you expect to bend, the maximum bend length, tooling configuration, and part geometry. The Titan Series MPT-SV is available in 16 configurations from 75 to 350 tons, with bending lengths ranging from approximately 8 to 13 feet, allowing the machine to be matched to a wide range of fabrication requirements.
MetalPress Machinery offers CNC press brake solutions for sheet metal fabrication applications, including the premium Titan Series servo hydraulic press brake and the more economical Vector Series for less demanding bending requirements.
Customers can contact MetalPress with their material type, thickness, bending length, and production requirements to determine the most appropriate press brake configuration.

Press Brake Engineering Fit Notes
Selecting the right CNC press brake requires more than choosing a tonnage rating. Buyers should consider material type, material thickness, maximum bending length, part geometry, tooling, throat depth, opening height, back gauge requirements, production volume, and the level of bending accuracy required. These factors determine the press brake capacity and configuration needed for consistent sheet metal forming without unnecessarily oversizing the machine.
The MetalPress Titan Series MPT-SV servo hydraulic CNC press brakes are designed for precision sheet metal bending and demanding fabrication environments. The range includes 16 configurations from 75 to 350 tons with bending lengths from approximately 8 to 13 feet. Depending on the model, the Titan Series combines servo hydraulic drive technology, Delem CNC control, automatic mechanical crowning, precision back gauge positioning, quick tool clamping, laser safety protection, and other systems designed to improve bending accuracy, repeatability, setup efficiency, and production performance.
For manufacturers producing repeated parts, long components, complex multi-bend workpieces, or higher-volume fabrication, features such as CNC crowning, programmable back gauge positioning, real-time ram feedback, and advanced CNC programming can significantly improve consistency between parts. Applications can range from general sheet metal fabrication and machinery components to cabinets, enclosures, transportation parts, structural components, stainless steel fabrication, and custom job-shop production.
When requesting a press brake quote, providing the material grade, maximum material thickness, longest bend, typical part drawings, and expected production requirements allows the machine to be sized more accurately. For lighter-duty or less demanding bending applications where the full Titan Series feature set is not required, MetalPress also offers the more economical Vector Series press brake.
